Dating someone from a different background lap band dating
The guy I am in a relationship with now comes from a broken family (his mom is an alcoholic who divorced his dad, who also struggles with alcoholism and anger, many years ago).Thankfully, my boyfriend became a Christian in his high school years and has been able to forgive his parents.), styles of worship and the day-to-day living out of our faith can vary enormously.
I always thought I would meet a lanky blonde Italian vegetarian dude with long hippie hair who loves Todd Rundgren as much as I do and is very simple and is extremely outgoing and loud. But maybe he lives in Dublin or something, and never our paths would meet. The chances of meeting your one soul mate is like 1 in 10,000! (Warning: I will probably tell you to put the list in the blender with your AM smoothie.) Email your list to [email protected] ] You know that feeling when you’re traveling across time zones or you’re studying abroad or you’ve been on vacation for 8 days and you can’t remember what day it is anymore?
My real boyfriend is the polar opposite of my fake/dream boyfriend. I’m going to advise everyone to go out in search of their opposite. That’s the realization that we have created rules for time and space, and they don’t actually exist. I think you feel that way with someone different, too, because you realize that there are other ways to do things, and that you don’t have to be chained to all of your beliefs and habits.
We are not extremely serious, but marriage is always on my mind as I hope to find a future spouse one day.
Coming from a very solid Christian family myself, I always had it in my mind that I wanted to marry/date a guy who came from a strong (hopefully Christian) family background as well, since it is always said “beware, you marry the family too, not just your spouse.” What I am finding is that this is just not the easiest thing to find these days; there are so many broken families.
A lot depends on our previous experiences of church (good and bad), and what Christian tradition feels most authentic to us.
